Romerike L40 Red

The Romerike L40 Red tie is inspired by the red variant of the Romeriksbunad L40, celebrating the proud traditions of the Romerike region of Akershus. The L40 was put into production in 1940, developed by Borghild Tranum Røer in collaboration with Heimen Husflid in Oslo. Red was the original and first colour of the Romeriksbunaden, and the embroidery patterns that define this bunad were inspired by motifs found on a horse blanket, a loose pocket, and a pair of shoes from the region.

The pattern is printed on 100% silk twill fabric for a classic finish.
